Connecting the Metal Power value chain.
MPH2 establishes a cross-border learning and testing environment for the complete Metal Power value chain. By connecting Iron Fuel production, logistics, storage and industrial heat applications across Belgium and the Netherlands, the project demonstrates how renewable energy can be stored, transported and used where and when it is needed. Alongside technical validation, the project develops the knowledge, regulations and ecosystem required for future commercial deployment.

Matching renewable energy supply and demand remains one of the biggest challenges in the energy transition. Industrial companies outside major energy clusters face grid congestion, limited access to hydrogen and processes that are difficult to electrify. At the same time, renewable energy producers need better solutions for long-term energy storage and transport.
MPH2 develops and validates the complete Metal Power value chain across Belgium and the Netherlands. Existing technologies for Iron Fuel production, logistics, storage and industrial heat generation are integrated into one operational ecosystem, creating a cross-border learning environment that prepares the technology for large-scale deployment.
